Mac Tabby Cat Café
The cat café is such a fun place to visit! It operates as part of a rescue mission, serving as a foster home and social space for cats from local rescues. They have three locations— one of which is in downtown Concord. The café is split into two sections. Half coffeehouse, half cat lounge. Their cats are adoptable so you can sip on a delicious beverage while loving on their adorable cats and deciding if one might be a good fit for your home.
Lucy & Co
Our favorite walking gear! This is where we get our harnesses and leashes. We absolutely love the high quality walking gear Lucy and Co makes, and definitely recommend them if you’re looking for some new comfy harnesses or leashes for your fur baby.
The Stead at Farmington
If you’re looking for a pet-friendly place to live in Harrisburg, NC, we recommend The Stead! It’s a beautiful apartment community that not only allows you to have pets, but encourages it with special touches like a dog park, pet spa, and treats stocked in their office for your fur babies!

If you are specifically looking to add a Golden Retriever to your family, Seasons Gold is a professional breeder raising Golden Retrievers with champion bloodlines since 1990. Their goal is to raise puppies that have the best temperaments and health possible. If having a specific type of dog isn’t important to you, we definitely recommend you adopt from animal shelters since there are so many sweet animals needing homes.
